Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County is part of the national Boys & Girls Clubs of America which has over 4000 clubs and serves millions of youngsters.

Its mission is to enable all youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsbile citizens.

School Year: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 3:00 - 7:00pm
Extended hours on early release days

Summer - 8am-1pm ($10/day for members attending morning session)
                 1-5:30 pm (membership includes this)
 
The Club is a place for students to gain new friends, do homework and understand the importance of education, express their creativity, engage in active physical activities, learn about volunteering, have a nutritious snack and learn about good eating habits, be supported by caring adults, participate in nationally PROVEN curriculums such as Smart Moves, Triple Play, and Tech Club, and HAVE FUN!

January 14, 2013:  Boys and Girls Club Announces A Program for Middle School Students
Who Want to Advance Their Math Skills

What :
The program uses the Khan Academy* software, a highly successful and widely
used on-line learning system, combined with active hands-on instruction guided
by coaches, practical “real world” problem solving, and active games that make
math fun to learn!

For whom:
Focused on 6th graders but also useful for 5th graders who are advanced or
7th graders who may need some extra help.

When:
Each Friday (that the Salida Middle School is not in session) for 8 weeks
from 9:00–10:30 am beginning February 1 through March 29. A second 8 week
program begins April 5 through May 24.

Where:
Salida Boys & Girls Club Tech Center, 340 E. 5th Street, Salida.

Cost :
The regular $10 fee for club members for Friday mornings will be reduced
by 50% for this program if paid in advance for the 8 week session ($40).
Fee waivers are available for families unable to afford the fee.
